During December, 2020 IS A SONG invited people to submit the one song that got them through the year, along with their associated memory or feeling.
With contributions from 53 countries, the site is a heartfelt time capsule of personal moments from one of the most devastating years in modern history.

As a 2021 addendum, we released limited edition mixtapes curating together songs that represented the two most cited emotions of the project: Hope and Joy.
Spanning listeners from Ahmedabad to Amsterdam, the cassettes sold out in three days. All proceeds were donated to Asian Americans Advancing Justice Atlanta, who established a fund for the victims of the ATL shootings and their families.
